This is my story. I have told it as I remember it, to the best of my ability. The opinions or thoughts are my own. I know that everyone does not see the world through my eyes, but I've done my best to write the truth as I see it. I can't decide what is true for others. My intent is to share only my own truth. Therefore, I take responsibility for my thoughts, feelings, opinions, and conclusions. What I hope to do is gain a greater understanding of my ancestors and gain an awareness of their strengths. I also hope to give a sense of pride to my grandchildren as they realized their own Legacy of Resilience that comes down through our family.
